Journey Through Chicago

Sunset in the The Windy City

Just start, the rest will come

Sometimes you need to do a personal project to sharpen your skills. This one was done in Chicago from Sunset to evening as we strolled through the City with a model. The idea was not set in stone, but the setting was.

Sometimes ideas are not fully formed, but that should not stop you from taking a swing. This is one of those situations where we took some photos, and the concept came later, and I think it turned out to be an awesome experience.

Developing The idea

Developing a Look

Right now, I am in the process of developing the idea further in a program call InDesign. In this program I am developing a format to print several canvases to fit together on a wall. I am loving the process between projects to develop a a special look for the photos to fit together. This program allows me to see how the photos can sit together, and allowed me to crop the images in different ways.

Testing the look

One tool that has been wonderful for developing ideas is my Canon Pixma pro-100 printer. It allows me to make some quick prints to see what the final product might look like as far as the color and the Contrast of the prints. Sometimes, we think it looks good when we look at the image on the screen, but when you print it out, it’s not what you want.

How do you Solve this?

You run tests Print!

Want to see the pics?

There were many pics, but I distilled them to the following photos. I choose these because they have a cohesive look and work well together in my opinion.
